The two brothers commonly use this ability to split the same body but can also use it to combine with the bodies of others and tear down the host’s cells from the inside. When Sakon is in require of help, Ukon can carry out some of his body parts to aid Sakon in blocking or attacking. Ukon’s arms and legs can emerge from those of Sakon’s to boost the power and capacity to his physical attacks.

If required, Ukon can break free from Sakon’s body so that the two can strike separately. Even as this can be an useful way of double teaming an enemy, Ukon is not used to parting Sakon’s body and is much weaker when he does so. Whereas within another’s body, though they are vulnerable to whatsoever injuries happen upon the host, in premise allowing the host to commit suicide to kill either of the brothers. After their division, should any injury befall either of the brothers, they can become one with each other to cure. This way, their remedial rate is much quicker than that of a normal human’s, though it depletes a huge amount of chakra. If Sakon is the one to put down dormant for curative, Ukon will have difficulty as he is not used to being the lead body. Afterward injecting Sakon and Ukon’s DNA into himself, Kabuto was capable to get access to this kekkei genkai.
